Price isn't the useful question — method is
Two tools at the same price can do completely different things. The number that matters isn't the dollar figure, it's whether the tool corrects the light before it reads you. An app that reads straight off your camera's guess and a read that white-balances against a gray card aren't the same product at a different price — they're answering different questions.
What the $39 buys
