Terms of use.
Last updated July 2026.
The short version: upload only your own photo, use the read as fun styling guidance (not professional, medical, or beauty advice), and don't abuse the service. It's provided as-is.
What Callume is
Callume estimates your seasonal color palette and describes your facial structure for styling guidance. It is not professional color consulting, not medical or dermatological advice, and explicitly not a beauty, attractiveness, or symmetry score. Facial measurements are neutral numbers used only to suggest styling. Results are estimates with honest, capped confidence; treat them as a helpful starting point, not a verdict. Accuracy varies with your lighting and camera. Like all photo-based color analysis, Callume may not be equally accurate across every skin tone; we tune and test for this, but can't promise identical precision for everyone.
Paying, and refunds
The full session is a one-time payment, handled by Polar, which is the seller of record. Polar takes the payment, sorts out any sales tax or VAT, and issues your receipt. Your card details go to Polar, not to us.
A full session generates a made-to-order PDF from your own measurements and delivers it right away. Because of that:
- If the analysis fails, you get nothing usable, or you never got your PDF: email hello@callume.com and I'll refund you in full.
- If your read feels wrong: email me before you write it off, and I'll re-run it on fresh photos at no extra charge. A re-run costs computer time, not another $39. If a re-run still isn't usable, that falls under the refund above.
- If you just changed your mind after the PDF was generated: I can't un-make a made-to-order document, so change-of-mind refunds don't apply once it's built.
- EU/UK buyers: digital goods normally carry a 14-day right to cancel. Because your PDF is made and delivered immediately, you're asked to agree to that immediate delivery, which means you give up the 14-day window once generation starts. Everything above still applies if it breaks.
Chargebacks are the slow way to do this and cost us both. Just email me first.
Your responsibilities
- You must be 18 or older to use Callume.
- Upload only photos of yourself, that you have the right to use. Don't upload other people, minors, or anyone who hasn't consented.
- Don't upload illegal, harmful, or non-photographic content, and don't try to break, overload, or abuse the service.
- You're responsible for what you upload.
If someone brings a claim against us because you uploaded a photo you had no right to use — another person's face, a minor's, or anyone who didn't consent — you agree to cover the resulting costs, including reasonable legal fees, to the extent the law allows.
If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, we may suspend or end your access. If we do that before your reading is delivered, we refund it; once it's delivered, the reading is yours to keep regardless.
Consent to biometric processing
Callume computes a scan of your face geometry from your photos to describe your facial structure for styling. Before your first upload you tick a standalone consent box; by doing so you consent to that processing for that purpose, on the terms in the Privacy & Biometric Data policy. Those terms include: your uploaded photos are deleted right after the free read, or within 72 hours for a full session (your styling read and PDF are kept up to a year, or until you delete them); none of it is ever sold or shared; and it is never used to identify you.
We don't take a license to your photos
You keep all rights to the photos you upload. You grant us only the narrow, temporary permission needed to generate your analysis and then delete the photo on the schedule above, and nothing more. We do not claim any ongoing, commercial, or transferable license to your images, and we never use them to train any model. The reading and PDF we make for you are yours to keep and use however you like.
Your photos & privacy
Your photos are processed on one server and never shared. Free-tier photos are deleted right after analysis; everything else is auto-deleted on a schedule, or on request. The Privacy policy spells this out, and it is part of these terms.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Color and style are subjective and photo-based analysis has real limits; we don't guarantee the result is "correct." To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for decisions you make based on the output. What you buy, wear, or do is on you. And if we ever are held liable for something, the most we owe you is what you actually paid for your session. These terms are governed by the laws of Tennessee, and any dispute is handled there. Nothing here takes away mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your own country of residence. If any single part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands.
Changes
These terms may change as the product does; the current version always lives at this page, dated.
