What we refuse CALLUME · HOUSE POLICY

Honesty, itemized.

Callume is built on refusals: no beauty score, no certainty theater, no subscription, no photos kept. The premium is the honesty — every number in your reading traces to a measurement, and the tool tells you exactly what it cannot know.

Most tools in this category compete on confidence — bigger claims, rounder numbers, a certainty the method cannot support. Callume competes the other way. What follows is the standing list of things this instrument will not do, each one already promised elsewhere on this site and in the document itself. Hold us to all of it.

01

No score out of ten.

Callume reads your coloring and facial structure to suggest styling — colors and shapes that complement you. There is no score out of ten, and there never will be. The measurements are neutral numbers used for styling, not a judgment of your face.

02

No certainty theater.

Confidence is capped at 95% on purpose. Our own expectation is that a photo lands somewhere around 75 to 85 percent agreement with an in-person analyst — and we should say plainly that this is our estimate rather than an established figure, because no inter-rater agreement for season assignment has ever been published. A tool claiming certainty is telling you something about itself. Every axis in the reading carries an error bar instead.

03

Nothing estimated for show.

You see every number. No black box. Each call in the document traces back to a measurement you can check — the appendix shows the working, hex and L*a*b* included.

04

No bad colors.

The anti-palette names the colors whose temperature, depth, or clarity pulls against your own — not a condemnation, a measurement. Colors are not ranked from pretty to ugly here, and neither are you.

05

No photos kept.

The free read wipes your selfies the moment it finishes. A full session's photos, and the face geometry taken from them, are deleted within 72 hours — never sold, never used to identify you. The document is drawn from stored measurements, so it keeps working after the photos are gone.

06

Nothing charged up front.

The session runs free, start to finish — photos, calibration, the drape rounds. The sealed verdict is what you buy at the end, once. No subscription, no renewal, no credits. Walk away before the reveal and you owe nothing.

07

No excuses when it fails.

If the analysis fails, or the document never reaches you, it is refunded in full. If the read feels wrong, say so before you write it off — the remedy is a free re-run, not an argument.

08

No pretending to be the studio.

A trained analyst in the room, with drapes and daylight, is still the gold standard for the drape step, and Callume says so. In the comparison chart on the pricing page, that row goes to the studio — on purpose.

09

No promise of equal precision for everyone.

Like all photo-based color analysis, Callume may not be equally accurate across every skin tone. We tune and test for this, but will not promise what has not been measured — and every reading states its own uncertainty rather than hiding it.

Season picks your colors. Structure picks your shapes. Contrast picks your weight.

That is the whole system, and every leg of it is measured. Contrast is the fourth axis of your season — and the one that keeps working after the palette: the same measured gap between your hair, skin, and eyes that helps place your season also sets how bold a pairing and how heavy a fabric your face can carry. One measurement, two jobs.
