Which season wears this color?
Paste any hex — off a shop page, out of a photo, from a paint chip — and this measures it in CIELAB against all twelve published season decks with CIEDE2000, the same perceptual color distance a full reading uses. Nothing is uploaded and no photo is involved: the math runs in your browser.
How to find a color's hex

Screenshot the product photo. Crop to the fabric itself, away from shadows, folds, and any flash highlight — those are the room, not the garment.

Eyedrop it. Any phone markup tool or desktop image viewer with a color picker will hand you a six-character code. In a browser you can right-click the image, choose inspect, and read it from the picker.

Paste it above. With or without the hash. Bear in mind a product photo is itself lit by somebody's studio, so treat the result as the listing's color, not a guaranteed swatch.

What this can and can't tell you
This measures a color, honestly and completely: where it sits in CIELAB, and how far it is from every season's published deck. What it cannot measure is you. Whether a color flatters your face depends on your own undertone, depth, and contrast — and those come from a photograph with a known-neutral reference in it, not from a hex code. The free read names your season in about fifteen seconds; the full session measures it against a gray card. The method is public if you want the whole pipeline first.
Questions
How do I find the hex code of a color?
Take a screenshot of the product photo and open it in any image viewer or phone markup tool that has an eyedropper, then copy the value it reports. On a desktop browser you can also right-click the image, choose inspect, and read the color from the picker. Any six-character code like 0047AB works here, with or without the leading hash.
Can a hex code tell me my color season?
No, and this tool does not claim to. A hex code describes a garment, not a person. Which season is yours depends on your own undertone, depth, and contrast, and those are measured from a photograph with a known-neutral reference in it. What a hex can tell you is which season palettes that particular color already belongs to, and which ones it fights.
Why does one color show up as close to several seasons?
Because the twelve seasons overlap at their borders. Sister seasons share an undertone and differ on depth or clarity, so a color sitting between them will land near both decks. This tool says so in plain words rather than hiding it behind a single label: a color described as a very close match to two different decks genuinely suits both.
Is anything uploaded when I check a color?
No. The color math runs entirely in your browser — no photo, no upload, no account, and nothing is sent to a server. The calculation is the same CIELAB conversion and CIEDE2000 comparison used in a full reading, just applied to a color you typed rather than to a photograph of you.
